Surprise!

Katie delights in teaching adults and children how to reconnect with their bodies through yoga and hoopdance.  A California native who currently resides in Washington DC, she has wowed audiences across the United States with her campy, fun and theatrical style of hoop and fire dance. In 2009, she was nominated for Fire Hooper of the Year by Hooping.org. Katie is a licensed HoopGirl Level 1 teacher who believes that anyone can hoop. Katie is a Registered Yoga Teacher at the 200-hour level and a Registered Children's Yoga Teacher. Katie is available to teach and perform at events and workshops.

Schedule of classes

I have recently made a transition from full-time yoga teacher to a full time position advancing the yoga community with the Yoga Alliance. To allow this transition, I have cut back on my teaching schedule for the time being. I am still spreading the hoop love at Contradiction Dance for the Spring Session. The next session starts on April 16. Let's get hoopy!
